Changes and a Spring Clean!

For a while now I have been offering online proofing with a shopping cart, however I have decided to have a major spring clean and do some restructuring. Spring is in the Air, so what better than a fresh start.

From now onwards I have changed the way I do my proofing:

The online gallery will not be posted until AFTER I have had a personal proofing and ordering session with each individual client. This will take place either in my home or the client's and should be a mutually convenient time approximately a week after the initial photoshoot.

There will be sneak peeks on my blog and on Facebook during that week.

The week after the in-home proofing session, an online gallery will be posted for a period of 1 week only, during which time clients may order any additional prints and products. The password to the gallery can be shared with friends and family, who may order by emailing sarah@visualinspirations.me.uk

If further time is needed for the gallery, each extra week's hosting will cost £10, payable in advance by Paypal or cheque.

There have also been price changes, but nothing drastic. The session fee has increased to £25, although this includes a free 10x8 print of your choice from the gallery.

I finally sold my old gear and got a brand new Canon 50d with a couple of lenses. I'm blown away with its performance, what a lovely camera it is!! Here's a pic I took with it of my partner, John.

Stunningly beautiful canvas wraps available

Just got Mylie's storyboard 26" square canvas wrap back from the printers. I am extremely impressed!!! The colours are spot on and the detail is amazing. Canvas printing can be a risky business. I have heard of many peoples' negative experiences with black and whites that turn out green, colours that are way off target and poorly stretched, framed and finished products. Well thankfully I seem to have found a printer that can deliver to my highest expectations and to the highest level of quality.

Prices for canvas wraps (stretched onto a frame ready to hang) are as follows:

12x10 canvas - £75; 16x12 canvas - £100; 20x16 canvas - £130; 26" square custom storyboard canvas (see below) - £150.

Other sizes are available. Prices on request.

Its my 40th birthday today and I couldn't sleep with the excitement, so I have been experimenting with some new Vintage textures. Here's a little creation featuring a beautiful young lady named Mylie and one of a lovely young lady I met in November. I will accept commissions for artistic and creative portraits from photographs. The cost of commissioning an artistic portrait is £15 extra on top of your order. This is to cover the amount of time and work and effort I put into these creations. Some people think its just a matter of pressing the camera shutter, but a lot of post production work is done lovingly on each photograph. But its always a pleasure!
